The Overhaul Continues

Author: Lance - Categories: Site admin

The new version of this site continues to take shape, and part of that is migrating my old subdomains poems.lancebrown.org and works.lancebrown.org over to here. Those were entirely separate installations of Wordpress, for reasons that seemed to make sense at the time, but which never bore any appreciable advantage. Now they are nestled comfortably in the bosom of the main lancebrown.org site.

The truly dedicated visitor will recall that ye olde photos.lancebrown.org yet remains aloof from our otherwise unified troops. I hope to make it fall in line soon, even if severe discipline is required.

A great deal of change and refinement is still to come, as I strive to make this site more relevant and useful for both me and you. Stay tuned!

Welcome to the Poetry of Lance Brown

Author: Lance - Categories: Site admin

Welcome to my poetry page.

The poems here have been written between the years 1986 and 2005. The earliest poems were written when I was around 14 years old.

The poems are arranged chronologically, roughly speaking. There are links to the next and previous poem on each page. The exact dates listed on the poems may be estimates, or yet to be pinned down.

My opinion of my poetry shifts around over time, but some of my current favorites are:

  • Hello! My name is…Poem
  • Part I (A Sonnet)
  • The Fear of a Newborn Fly
  • Granny Film Recently
  • Untitled
  • The Fly and the Thing the Fly is Watching
  • And I do have a few lasting favorites. Here are two:

  • Brainfast
  • A Summer Day
  • You can find my other poems by going forward or backward through the entries, using the links to previous and next poems on each poem’s page. (You could start at the beginning, or the end, or somewhere in the middle if you like.)

If you’d like to publish or use one or more of my poems, please feel free to contact me.

    Thanks for your visit.
