It's finally time for the campaign to grow- and the campaign path for the next 8 years is getting clearer. So it's time to build a hearty campaign staff, and to look for active supporters throughout the country. Here are some of the positions you can fill, to help Lance bring about a restoral of Freedom to America:
Legal Help: The campaign needs help with interpreting election laws
and filing with the FEC, and we need to gather information on obtaining
ballot status in the various states (although Lance plans to seek the
nomination of the Libertarian Party, which already has ballot status in most
states, he also plans to have a backup, by attaining ballot status for
himself (as an Independent) as early as possible. Additionally, there are many legislative issues and court decisions, involving the drug war, the IRS and taxation, and many other issues, for which research is always needed. So, any lawyers, legal aids or researchers, or even those who aspire to those positions, who want to take on some unconventional legal projects, in order to ensure an history-changing Presidential upset- please contact us!
Webmasters, Editors and Proofreaders: Lance is in serious need of
help from editors and proofreaders. The "Views On.." section of
the site needs revamping and updating, a semi-regular campaign newsletter
needs to be produced, and everything needs to be checked and re-checked for
spelling and grammar. This site will end up being a compendium of 14 years
of writings by Lance on the issues, his campaign, his life, and more. The
editing and presentation of this material will be instrumental in this
campaign's success (or failure). In addition to the website, various pieces
of paper campaign literature will be developed over the next two years,
including the "Brown Binder," a mission statement/business plan
for a consensual revolution in America. Also- any webmasters, web designers, graphic artists, network professionals, etc., who would like to "ramp up" the campaign by adding new site features, donating creative work or technical help, and so on, are warmly invited to contact us with your offer, idea, or availability.
Fundraising and Public Relations: It's not hard to figure out that
the campaign invites any available assistance with fundraising and/or public
relations. The value of these elements to the success of the campaign cannot
be overstated. It doesn't matter if Lance has a plan that voters would agree
with, if the voters don't hear about him. This campaign represents a fundamentally challenging public relations task. Timing is both a great ally, and one of the biggest obstacles. So is the fact that Lance will be campaigning to be our country's youngest-ever President (36 years old in 2008). In the next 6 years, before the 2008 election season "officially" begins, there is a lot that can be done to broaden the national impact of this campaign- and Lance is fully ready to work at it. He currently plans to begin full-time campaigning in 2002, touring the country for 5 years to raise awareness of the campaign. This 5-year campaign tour could create an unstoppable voter uprising, or it could simply create a fringe movement. The difference between the two will depend on fundraising and public relations. If you would like to help out with fundraising or public relations in any (specific or general) way, please contact us.
Agent/Campaign Management Team: Lance needs people who have skills or interest in helping to run a maverick, long-term, idealistic Presidential campaign. Any type of assistance is welcome, from simple suggestions to full-time work. Also, any advisors, mentors, trainers, or professional experts who would like to add their services to the campaign effort would be warmly received indeed.
Spread the Word Work: This campaign's strongest trait is a thing called
"first-mover status." Lance is a "first-mover" in two
ways:
